Day 29 - Magnetic
Magnetic - "exhibiting or relating to magnetism"
Here's my concept for the sword.
The blade is made of a powerful electromagnet that can be turned on and off by the wielder. Shards of powerful magnets surround the sword due to the repelling forces of similar poles on the blade. The copper coils under the crossguard provide a large flow of electricity to the blade at will, making it extremely magnetic and reversing the poles. This pulls all the magnetic shards towards it, slamming them onto the blade making the sword a long sword. The crossguard and the grip extend to provide a streamlined but deadly design for the wielder to make use of!
