An insectoid race that's closely related to the firefly species. These guys draw power from their planet billions of light-years away using their abdomens as beacons.
This particular species is a guardian, that takes care of hatchlings during their pupate stage.

Standing 10 feet tall, with razor-sharp talons and agile reflexes, it can easily kill a human with extreme speed and precision. They, however, do not feed on human flesh but prefer iron-rich food. This ultimately means human blood becomes a viable option when there is food scarcity.

Stay away when the darkness turns bright, and the light beckons you.
