Day 05 - Ornate
Ornate - "elaborately or highly decorated."
I decided to do something relating to my country and the state I was born and raised.
Aruval is a type of billhook sword from South India that's used as a multipurpose tool from harvesting fields to having it for religious ceremonies. I added all these intricate details to make it look as ornate as possible without losing the origin of the sword. I've also added Thamizh Brahmi lettering on the blade which reads, " உன் எதிரிகள் வீழ்ச்சி அடைவார்கள்" which again translates to "your enemies will fall". Finally, the name I chose, Ayyanar is a Hindu deity who is usually worshipped as a village guardian and is often depicted with this particular sword.
